A note about Bridgeport registration

Postby Mike Wills on Fri Feb 29, 2008 2:38 pm

By request of the event organizers, and in celebration of the World Championships, we will be accepting the usual 30 amateur participants for Bridgeport, WV this year… with a twist. In an effort to reward those athletes who have helped Bridgeport grow and get to the point they are at today, preference will be given to those who have competed at Bridgeport before. The initial registration "amnesty" period will be extended to a full week instead of the normal 24 hours and registration will open 8 weeks out instead of the normal 4 weeks.

If more than 30 athletes have registered within the first 7 days, priority will be given based upon years of participation at Bridgeport. Available classes are Open and Masters. Registration will open at noon on Thursday March 6, a full 8 weeks before the competition.

And if anyone doesn't get in, I hope you plan on going anyway. It's the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS, folks. Go to throw, go to help, or go to watch, but whatever you do, go.
