Postby Mike Wills on Sun Mar 02, 2008 10:02 pm

Here is where we stand. We have a limit of 15/flight. Malcolm has agreed that we can make the Sr. Masters class open to anyone 50 and over. What are the weights for the senior masters?

I wouldn't worry too much about getting the masters list down to 15 - with this many old guys, somebody's going to end up hurting themselves and pulling out.

Good question about the weight of the weights used in senior masters. I would assume that since it is 50 and over, the same weights as regular masters would be used. The lighter weights don't come into play until age 60, I think.

I'm not sure, this is a question for Malcolm. I just want as many people to be able to throw as possible.

I would guess that the 0ver 50 group would toss their respective weights: 50-59 the regular master's weights, and 60+ the normal senior masters weights?

Anyway, I'll move (not yet, though!) before the Games if it will open a space, but I would prefer to stay where I am for the time being and see if others want to make the move. No one should be denied a chance to throw because of groupings-- we'll work it out!

Everyone, make sure you keep an eye on the lists that are stuck at the top of the page. From now on, that's how I'm going to track and update the registration lists...it just works a lot easier that way.

Yes, Frank that is what I promised Fred. We will score the oldest geezers, 60+ separately. They use 35# and 20# weights and 12# stone everything else is the same in Games that have a Senior Masters Class.

Hey Shirley, ah I mean Frank ;),

Look at the So. Md. updated list. You stay and fight with the big dog masters, where you belong my friend. I'm going to play with Malcolm & Fred. Say hi to Lee. See you in a couple weeks at the clinic.
