Rhode Island Highland Games

Postby Mace on Tue Mar 04, 2008 3:21 pm

In some strange twist of fate, I have taken on the role of Athletic Director for the Rhode Island Highland Games for this year.
The Games take place on May 17th.
The Games Website is...
http://www.riscot.org/
I know that Dickens is planning on making the trip up, and I just wanted to formally extend the invite to the whole Masa Crew.
As of right now I'm planning on running an Open Class, Masters/Lightweight Class, and a Women's class.
Shoot me an e-mail at Katherine.Mason@Sikorsky.com if you're interested in making the trip.
Can't wait to see everyone at Southern Maryland!

Its a great event and a great venue. I know Frank the Tank has gone up there the past two years.

Holly and I will be staying in Newport for the weekend. It is a fantastic place if you have never been. I highly recommend it. Beautiful and great food.

Interesting that you post this!!! I put this games on my calander thinking I might like to go. I'll have to double check that date as a viable option. But if it works out, I'd love to be part of the open class.

You've only got 100' tape measures? So, like, Sam doesn't think he'll throw the HH over 100? We know Dickens isn't gonna do it, so maybe you'll be safe after all. :o   :D

Tell you what, I'll stand with my back to the trig at 105' if you put a single malt in my hands.

For two single malts , I'll return your 110' hammer to you,..... and might even get you a samitch....... or was that Stumpy's job?
