Frank,

I think you may need to throw with us in the masters. That way Steve will feel like he has at least a little bit of competition. BTW, has anyone told Steve that the prizes here are cow ribbons? :D

Yes. Well, minus the cows and crap. There were some sheep... Oh, I forgot. You can never go down that path. A fine spectacle of a dog running around with some sheep.

I'm thinking I will have to pass on either McHenry or Steppingstone for both physical and financial reasons. I hate to miss either one, since I've been a regular at both for the past 4 years or so. Besides, judging by the results from Neptune, (NJ, not the planet) Abner ought to be competing against Pros or Super A's if he's looking to break a sweat! ;)

Ok, he may not break a sweat against any of us but I think he may be able to force a few PR's out of me.... so I say bring it on!

;)

Oh, and if they add sheep chasing in as one of the events he's going down!!

Mike Wills-- If you would be so kind, and if possible, please change my competition class from open to masters.

Thanks, --Frank

P.S. Steve-- you're aware of the MASA rule about winner buying a bottle for each of his fellow competitors, right? :D

P.P.S. Oh, and start time is 12 noon. I can help you with directions, too. ;)

Good, because at my age I'm liable to just wander off or nearly skewer my eyeball with my fork like I did yesterday evening. I NEED watching! :D

Careful Frank! We need you in working order ;) After my day at Bridgeport I doubt you are feeling much heat from my "watching" lol, it is just watching after all. Things are tightening up though. I have actually got a few practice sessions under my belt now. I might be able to make a couple of events fun for you :D

As for the other heavy hitter..... it is nice to dream...

I'm sure Steve will keep things plenty interesting, too! The rest of us may just be there for comic relief. :D

Yesterday evening at sheaf practice, I tossed the bag up, it hit a branch on the way down, deflected and started heading for me. So I took a nonchalant step out of the way, moving a little too slow. The bag whacked the end of my fork handle, sending the pointy end toward my noggin. I took a tine to the side of my grape about an inch to the left of my left eye. I guess my reflexes ain't what they used to be... I have a pea-sized knot with a hole in the middle.

Ok, I just can't resist! Bob taught me a valuable trick many years ago. :o NO, not that one! He called it "The Curly Defense" WOOOP WOOOOP WOOOP! We used it to avoid low slung B.S. but it looks like a few of you could use it for other things. Flatten out your right hand. Now place it vertically to your face with your thumb next to your nose. Yep, that's it :D

Ok, two flights it is, but please close the registration Mike.

Starting time is promptly at ten. Gates do not open until later, but in order to accomodate you all, you need to start earlier to get off the field at a reasonable hour.

The museum site is http://www.steppingstonemuseum.org and does have a directions page so that should help everyone figure out where they need to be.

Sunscreen and raingear for everyone! :D

Steve - plan on helping get the sheaf rig up since you watched us so intently at WV, you should know how to put it together.

Do you really want him to help put them up like we did in WV? What did it take, like 4 hours?

So far the weather says Sunny and 90. So it will be like the normal Steppingstone weather 8-)

Why dont you forget about the sheaf and we'll all get out of there before midnight. That event sucks anyway. That rig was reduclous in WV. Six events is plenty. The sheaf just grinds the whole day to a halt.

Sheaf is good. Be one with the sheaf.

Me like the sheaf. It's the only thing I'm mildly proficient at

Steve,

Bring a good book to read while we're doing sheaf. You can come in when we are all done. That way you'll only need to take one throw.

I guess that goes for wfh too.
