Dubln Ohio

Postby The McKenzie on Thu May 15, 2008 8:32 pm

I have been asked by the organizers of the Dublin Ohio Irish Festival to bring Scottish Athletics to Dublin around the first vweek in August this year. I have tentatively agreed. We are in active negotiations centering around - what else - insurance. Now I like you people but I am not gonna mortugage my house to buy you insurance. have been there and done that! I am trying to get them to join the association of Scottish games and Festivals and piggy back on that insurance.

So, question is, how many of you want to go set field records in a brand new venue? Please give me some indication of intended participation or vinterest so I know what I am dealing with? working on this. confrence call with city administrators and thier lawyer tomorrow. oh joy! Let's see where did I put that quart of clear liquid I brought back from KY.

Aye, dave

I grew up in Columbus. Let me assure you this is no small festival. It might actually prove to be the biggest crowd in the USA to view HG. The attendance levels are rediculously high.

I had my schedule set in stone but if you land this festival I would like to compete in this. Master's most preferred.

Will it be Sat, August 2nd? Is that a conflict with Weight City or was WC a one-time thing?

Whew, thanks. I would have had a lot of explaining to do to Mr. and Mrs. Collins about what I was doing standing around in their field. You mighta saved me a load of buckshot!

So Dublin is def Saturday, 8/2? Definitely interested.
