Hey there,

I was perusing the schedule and noticed that there will be pro's at the VSG this year, and events on Sunday, including an "Invitational". Are the ECCs going to be at the VSG this year?

All about the VSG.

Saturday will be an open men's flight (15, 3 wait list) and pros (invitational, small class of 6).

Sunday will be Masters (10, 2 wait list), Women (5, 1 wait list), and ECC (invitational up to 15) will be back! :D

I will not be altering the schedule here or in Richmond to accomodate anyone's schedule, so please do not ask. Not even jokingly.

Sunday will be a children's day at the VSG, so please plan to bring your families. If you are an athlete and not competing on Sunday and would like to help show the kids how to throw, let me know and I will add you to the volunteers for that day.

Also, if anyone has any kid's size implements, let me know as I am sure that the folks who run children's games will not.

Does anyone have access to the cardboard rolls from carpeting? It would be good if we could get a couple of those to use as kids cabers. Or small trees? Anyone?

Thanks!
Alex

Alex, I just did kids games here in Mathews. They did indeed use carpet rolls. They tossed cabbage for distance (wrapped in plastic wrap to keep them from exploding) and they threw sheaf. They used burlap bags and just tossed them. I would recommend a small sheaf tossed with a spade or other small flat shovel. That way we're less likely to add many children to the A.S.S. club. It was a blast. There were kid t-shirts for the "Athletes". Way Cute :)

Try to turn them. If you can get them over then they should be about right for kids.

See what your kids can toss. I would imagine all ages as 12 and under get in free on Sunday I think.

Anyone up for making some kids weight sheafs? sheaves?

Just use some pillows and a shovel. Easier, cheaper, safer.
