Green Hill Medieval Faire & Highland Games

Postby BillyS on Mon Jun 30, 2008 9:15 pm

Well the time has come to open registration for the Green Hill Highland games. September 27, 2008. Roanoke, VA 10am-6pm We will be starting later than most of us are used to starting. I will have hotel information soon, we are going to have discounted hotel rooms nearby for all who will need them. A & B classes 16 athletes in each class. Mike Gordon and crew will be providing equipment and judging. Any questions contact me by email, if you need further assistance send me a number and best time to call you and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
We will be providing lunch, BBQ and drinks and something to snack on in the AM. Looking forward to a great turnout. We will be in the middle of a Medieval Faire, so it will be a different atmosphere.
Thanks

Hey, that looks like fun!

See'n as there is no old fart class you can sign me up as a not too bad "B" or a pretty sucky "A" ;) I'll try to look good though!

Hey Billy, is this the first year for the games? I was looking through the NASGA database and didn't see anything for previous years.

Yes it is the first year. Possibly we will turn it into a full celtic festival in the future, but it was much easier to piggyback onto the Medieval faire this year, and they are a great bunch of people to work with. We did a demo there last year and had a great response. Are you thinking about making the trip down? The B class is almost full. But still just under half full on the A-side.

The B-Class is full, 16 athletes. Right now I only have 6 in the A's. However I don't have anyone on the reserve list. Drop me an email if you are interested. Thanks

Sorry but I need to remove my name from the list...some work issues and family events have come up. Hopefully this gives someone else a chance to compete.
