I apologize for not posting this a couple of weeks ago, but rumor should have spread after the Christmas Walk. It has finally be formally announced that the Virginia Scottish Games (a.k.a. Alexandria) has moved for what we believe will be the final time. We have negotiated with Great Meadow in The Plains Virginia to hold the games on their grounds. This is about 15 minutes closer to Dulles Airport and downtown DC and should help bring folks in to watch. It is a huge venue with tons of parking, easy access, and very large event oriented. http://www.greatmeadow.com

We anticipate pros (invitational), masters, women and open amateur classes to all be held.

We will be holding the East Coast Championships on Sunday, September 20, 2009. If you have won (or do win) an amateur games East of the Mississippi River <thanks agm> between June 1, 2007 and June 1, 2009, you have an invitation to compete. Please feel free to get in touch with me if you qualify.

Otherwise all other non-invitational classes will have registration opening here <www.heavyevents.com> on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at noon.
