i used a 1500 lb bar
1. took ends off, then cut extra bar of in 12" lengths
2.used 2"x2"x1/4" steel tube 12" long, cut holes all the way thru at 11/2" from top and bottom
3. inserted bar ends thru holes top and bottom, welded all 4 sides of the bars inside and out.
4. place 2" ends back on the lower bars and welded these tight.
5. cut 2 pieces of 11/2" steel bar 14" long centered on bar 16" apart(this may be too wide for some but i have a 58-60" chest so its just inside my front delts and doesnt cramp my arms very much. these were welded to the bar with a slight angle i thing around 25 or 30 degrees.
6. place weights on and destroy legs!! this hits my legs much worse than regular squats,I LOVE THEM!!!

Hey, Tim-- awesome workouts. I don't think this is "old man training"; it's pretty badass training being done by an "old" man! ;)

Keep up the great work!

We got about 24" here, most of which is still on the ground, with another 12-18" on the way tonight/tomorrow along with high winds. Hoping my roof holds up!

First comp will be Dunedin, FL. Then assuming I get registered/accepted for them all, some local comps-- S. MD., Bridgeport, McHenry, Steppingstone, Penn Renn-- gets a little fuzzy after that. MWC's in August for sure if I'm healthy; altogether maybe 12-14 comps. Hoping Gene has the Beach games again too.

Tim, How old are you? That's a nice workout for anyone over 40. Do you know Lonny Fehr, a strongman out of Louisiana? He has competed some on the east coast.

Hey Tim, I like the stuff you are doing. The varied exercises should translate well to "athetic strength", the kind required to do well in the HG.

How long was the caber?
