This weekend and the VMC

Postby Sheaf daddy on Fri Mar 05, 2010 3:09 pm

Gentlemen - It is time to get our game on. Of course I have another proposal to work on because otherwise life would actually be not so bad. so I can practice early Saturday morning from about 8-10 and Sunday about the same. I am going to work WOB, Sheaf and heavy stone. You guys are welcome to take all my crap to the field and toss off all day long.

Let me know when you guys will want to get rolling
Trish: Colin go get your bike and put it away!

Colin: Okay but someone is going to swoop down, stop, take a picture and sell it on the internet.

8 am? On a weekend? Highly unlikely, mon frere. I would have to get up at at 6:45am; that's Monday thru Friday territory. I'm usually sawing logs until at least 8:30am on the weekends, then frying a pound of bacon, making a pot 'o coffee, scramblin' eggs and cheese-- dang, now I'm hungry. Anyhow, this weekend we're walking in the parade on Sat afternoon and having a Guinness or three; if anyone is up for throwing after 10am on Sunday, count me in! :D

Anyone throwing at Bryan's tomorrow? I won't be there early, but maybe 10-10:30?

Well none of the youngsters (under 50) showed up on a perfect throwing day, but the 2 oldest VMC members were there. Mike M and I knocked out some sheaf, stone and both weights. The field was muddy, but throwable. We'll need to get everyone out to tidy things up-- some trash and branches and stuff laying around-- so plan on a little work and a lot of throwing next weekend! ;)

P.S. We added a link to the Polanik since it was a T&F weight and 16 3/4" to the inside of the handle per their regs. Now that bad boy is over 20"-- we need to get a smaller link-- but that sucker will FLY! Come give it a toss next weekend.
