ups n downs...

any of you's guys have rotten throwing days that make you wonder if you're wasting your time?

and then later have awesome days when you suspect your body has been possessed by Thor?

i've been having some good/passable practices with shot and 56, and then the other day i couldn't get distance to save my life.

and then there was yesterday...here's the rundown:
1. i was going commando.
2. i threw 56 then shot.
3. hit 30' with 56 ooo-yeeah!
4. opened up shot with a standing throw PR (31)
5. did half-spin and put it 37'. (previous stand: 30, open: 31)
6. it was a good day.
7. didn't even have to use my AK

i'm gonna try to remember to warm up for stone with the 56: for some reason it primed my body for superior windup and explosion.

heck yeah.

see y'all at McHenry!

I've had similar experiences where I have trained the heck out of the events and done sub-par during a competition. Adversely, I have not practiced at all and done very well on certain events in competitions. Finding a happy middle where I train enough to hit my positions and maintain strength yet not too much that I get bummed with a bad throw. Like it has been said before, everyone is different and has to find what works for them. I can tell you that if I don't train, my successes are limited at best.
