OS Week 10

Postby miked on Mon Jan 14, 2008 8:24 pm

As I was preparing for my workout tonight I noticed that today is the first day of week 10 of OS '08 for me. I also realized I have not done a squat with more than 405, or gone very heavy in any of my workouts. Granted I have been focusing on Front and Zercher squats and more olympic style lifts, so I haven't really gone heavy on the bench, for example since my core push movement is the Push Press, which I have not exceed 245 on.
This week is supposed to be a heavy/max effort type week. So, I went heavier than I have so far this OS:

Dynamic warmup, Drills: CPs, right toe pops, glides
Cleans: 135x3, 185x2, 225x2, 245x1, 275x1, 295x3 (high pulls, couldn't quite rack it), 275x2, 275x2, 245x5
Hex DLs: 315x3, 405x1, 495x1, 495x1, 495x5
Hex Jump Shrug: 315x5 + 5 shrugs
Bent Over Row: 185 x 10
Core: Stone Chair - 35#x10 each direction x 3 sets

As you can see, the focus was on the cleans. Most were from the floor, up to the first rep with 275. The rest were hang cleans.

Hope everyone else is progressing. I can't wait for the first games. Oh yeah!!

you know, i think it must be. i don't remember ever working up that high in college.

I think if i was fresh and not all stiff and sore from the dino days I would have racked the 295. So, what i am saying is i think i am good for 3 bills. yeah, that's the ticket.

nice avatar, by the way. Is that Nick Kahanic?
