I'm didn't get eaten!

Postby Jeff Storey on Tue Aug 09, 2011 4:40 am

I had a great time in Africa, saw about a million and a half things I thought I'd never see, including endangered geckos, dancing lemurs, various chameleons, leopards eating an impala, lions roaring, rhinos jumping, took 18,000 pictures (literally), survived a round of third-world dysentery, presented "presents" to government officials, ran thru an airport drawing LOTS of attention as the only white person in the place and a foot taller and 2 feet wider than everyone else, ate a LOT of 5-star food, including some incredible African venison that alone would be enough to draw me back, and met a lot of amazing people. And now I'm jet-lagged and up at 3am.

Now I'm looking to train....suggestions? Comments? How is everyone? Please include a personal status update with any witty jabs...
I can't WAIT to throw again! See ya'll soon!

Word -- glad you didn't get eaten. That would have been bad.

The nuevo VMC is practicing Sundays around 10 am if you're in our neck of the woods. . .

There's enough fat on your carcass now to give a pride of lions coronary artery disease.

I am fine, thanks.

Just joshin' ya, GD. The way you're throwing there must be some muscle in there somewhere. ;)

I still have not been eaten by anything, but it's been close a couple of times. I'm back in Fauquier for another couple of weeks, then I'm going to be back in Harrisonburg full-time. I have started training, and when I get back to Hburg, I'll have access to the gym at JMU (no olympic lifts but great racks :D). I'm shooting for Richmond.

Anyone anywhere near Harrisonburg VA and want to throw?
