Hey Bryan..... Did you guys get my hammer and 28? I'm assuming they got thrown in your truck since I don't have them.

Same here. Maybe some hammer winds in the back yard and a light lift.

Right now it looks like saturday morning is the more likely option so what do you say? Saturday at 10?

Sheaf,

I know we are scheduling throwing around the weather, but my son has soccer Sat. so I am a "maybe" at best. I need to double check the time of his game?

Even if it rains sometime this weekend I would like to work on WOB, Sheaf, and maybe some WFD drills or dry runs.

Thanks,

Swede

Saturday looks best weather-wise, but I'll show up whenever we're having practice.

Gentlemen,

Please throw when it works for you all. My son's soccer game is today at 10:00am so that time is out for me. If possible could I still come out later today? The rain looks like it is coming as tomorrow's forecast is 100% for rain so I would like to get some throwing in today if possible...

Thanks,

Swede

Great meeting you all today. Thanks for teaching me the ropes. Looking forward to future practices.

Brian B, give me a shout when next weekend works for you. Looks like both Sat and Sun are open as of now.

Well . . . it poured Sunday, is raining now, and is supposed to rain both Saturday and Sunday, so not looking great.

I may head over to Bryan's and do a few drills, and if I do, Scott (and anyone else who wants to join), I'll let you know when that will be, but thinking I may just not make it out till the weekend of 5/19. . .

Looking at Saturday early afternoon -- getting to Bryan's around 1:00 for some drills and sheaf, then heading to the field for light weight and light hammer.

if the weather cooperates, I'm hoping to practice at Bryan's/at the field on Wednesday, May 9th. I'm hoping to get some good work in on sheaf, hammers and weights since I seem to have lost the handle on them! :o

Scott, I'll be in Frederick (although according to Alex, it's actually in Mt. Airy, so definitely go to the festival website for directions). . .

You could even register for McHenry. Sucks that work is pissing you off. Talk to you soon. I'm in Kentucky this weekend, Hartville, OH next weekend, Greenville, SC the following weekend and McHenry the first weekend in June. Hope to see you there, Brother.

It is looking like it will be the weekend of June 2/3 (i.e. the weekend of McHenry) before I can get out to throw again -- too much work and moving.

In the meantime, does anyone know of a good online tutorial for attaching hammer blades?

Word, thanks. Are you throwing at McHenry? If so, no rush -- I need plenty of work on weights, and it's looking like a good thing I wasn't planning to compete till VSG. . .

@ Brian yes I plan on doing McHenry.

@ Mike, Frank, and Scott - excellent workout yesterday. My throws sucked but I was sweating so much I have salt stains on the shirt I was wearing yesterday. That might explain why some of my throws were off. sure yeah that's the ticket.

And of course you're about to hit the half-century mark... Welcome to the dark side-- we have short pants, white socks and smell like Ben Gay. :(

Speaking of Ben Gay, I put some Blue Emu on my elbows last night, and since I was still sore this morning I broke down and took one Aleve. So far, so good.

What a great day. Thanks to Frank, Brian, and Mike for all the tips.

I'm definitely feeling it today. Already went to CVS at lunch break to buy 6 lb bag of Epsom salt. So much for being young and invincible.

Anyone throwing this evening? Looks like a very slight chance of rain but we may be able to sneak in a hour or two.
