Spring clinic?

Postby Sheaf daddy on Tue Oct 02, 2012 6:46 am

I wanted to see who would be interested in doing a spring clinic (late marchor early april) here in northern VA. Clinic could either be 1 full day or 1.5 days
Let me know when expressing interest which would be better.

Colin: Okay but someone is going to swoop down, stop, take a picture and sell it on the internet.

I'd be up for it. If I'm going to do the MWCs again next year, I need to be in top form by Mid-May.

Sounds good, I'm interested. There won't be any drills, just throwing, right? :D

ok ladies and gentlemen - it look like we have enough interest Here are my preliminary thoughts

Where: start at my house 8500 Stonewall Dr, Vienna, VA - our field is at the corner of Gallows Rd and Iliff (ILIFF) st in Vienna.

What do I need? 1) I will ask in late February for a list of those who plan to come, are you available for Saturday AND Sunday or just Saturday?
2) What implements can you bring?
3) volunteers to help with some of the training
4) Small spades/Entrenching tools and a bag of top soil to repair/fill the divots
5) we will provide water and gatorade - you bring your food.
6) TBD

Word.

It's not late February, but I'm planning on coming...

One day still probably better for me than two.

I have a 28, a 56 and a 42 (think the 42 is already at your house, conveniently), as well as 16 and 20 lb sheaf bags, 16 lb hammer, 16 lb shot and a couple of other different sized rocks, measuring tape, marking paint, etc.

I can also bring a small spade/entrenching tool and some dirt.

If this hasn't already taken place, I am very interested. I have only ever watched, never participated and would like to learn. A one-day session would work best for me as I'm coming from Maryland, either this weekend or late March.

Definitely still interested, I've got a couple stones, not sure on the weight. One of them is approx 30lbs, primarily a trainer. Also have a sheaf fork. Still rebuilding my WFD/WOB "device", but I can bring that too.
