Pre-workout nutrition

I used to drink NO Explode and then went to Jack3d before workouts, But have not done anything before workouts lately. Awhile back I used to drink a mixture of maltodexdrine and protein during my workout to keep insulin in check and enegy up but nothing pre-workout. What if anything do you guys do for pre-workout nutrition?

I eat a protein bar about 90 minutes before i workout and 30 minutes before drink C4, and during I drink Extend(Scivation). I usually follow it up with a chocolate milk and another protein bar.

It sounds lame compared to what I've done in the past, but these days I chug a cup of cold, strong, coffee. That's it. I train at night and this seems to do the trick for me. (of course, that was after cutting out coffee for a month and then limiting myself to 2 cups a day :/ )

coffee with a tbsp of coconut oil and about 20 grams of whey protein
