Attention Training Group Leaders

Postby Sheaf daddy on Mon Mar 10, 2008 5:03 pm

That sounds like a rank in a cheesy sci-fi film. Anyway, you know who you are:
Malcom
Tim "Rock the House"
Pat Macnamee
Chuck Wagner
Stumpy Wills
Anyone else that wants to be included.

I want to make up cards to hand out at the games. I would like to include, name and email address for all of us.

Are you guys cool with that?

Are these the trading cards we had talked about last year, or business type cards?
Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorius triumphs, even though checkered by failure. than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat. T.R.

I'm game for that. Can't say that I ever thought of myself as a "training group leader"- does it pay well?

I think I've been falling down on the job, as I've not done any throwing since October, or even return emails or respond to posts for that matter (sorry Eric, Adam). I think I must have turned into a slug  Though, I must have done well last year since my fellow pluckers and shuckers were kicking the chicken poop out of me at the end of the year.

New blood is always welcome.

verrry nice

Stumpy's group can have the greatest arm-span to height ratio! If I join it we could set a record!

Randy please send me your latest email address and hometown

For everyone I think adding a hometown would be good too. No phone numbers or home addresses onthe cards

Pat - these will be business cards that I can hand out at the games.

To let everyone know my policy when someone says they are interested I give them my email addresses and the website info. If they contact me and or post I ask for their phone number and give them a call. I run over lifting programs they have been doing and get a general fitness assessment and make recommendations to tweak their program. I also arrange for them to come out to a practice.

I tend to focus on them in the events I am best at (weights and Sheaf) and to set up some additional coaching with BJ for Stone and Dickens for sheaf and WOB.

Hey, I think I've trained with every group but Pat's and Mike's.... my todo list just got longer ;)

If anyone is ever on the east side of the bay bridge, I'm always open for throwing during the week. I have I nice area to throw in and a WOB set up. Nice tree for sheaf if the wife doesn't have the truck parked under it  although I do have a sheaf standard I have been working on for years. The Wright compound is always open. Malcolm is about 45 minutes west of me and Tim is about 1.25 hours SE of me. Team Maryland is wide spread ;)

Bryan,
Fine by me. I think you have all my information. Let me know if something is missing. Now Eric, I've been down and trained at the hallowed VMC center with you, however you havn't made it up to my traing group NORTH of the Mason Dixon line... You'll have to add that to your travel lists too..

That could be a lot of squeezin'. Are you sure thats legal in this state Chuck? Seriously, it would be great to see a bunch of you guys in the short whats left of the off season. The museum and hall of fame are pretty entertaining, at least to me. Just name the day.

This weekend is out. Could probably do next weekend, but that is Easter weekend- not sure if the family would mind if I go off galavanting north of the Mason-Dixon. I'll have to check on that.
