New Throwers in NoVA and Vienna Training starting up

Postby Sheaf daddy on Fri Feb 28, 2014 8:49 am

All - last weekend Mike Melia and I were able to get out and throw some puds with the chain weight for about an hour. Providing it is not snowing I would like to get started doing drills, puds, hammer winds and what-not this Sunday MARCH 2ND. I am delaying starting until NOON just to let it warm up.

Address is 8500 Stonewall Dr. Vienna, VA. 22180
My work email is bryan.mcclain@gdit.com
Cell phone is 571 419 4653
Home phone is 703 573 8282

If I do not answer my cell Leave a Vmail! I am either in a meeting or if I do not recognize your number I will let it roll to vmail. I get a lot of calls from sales people wanting me to by their products so I ignore numbers I do not know. Feel free to text my cell phone too.

Practices will last 2-3 hours depending on how many show up, the weather, and energy levels.

If you are going to come 30 or more minutes late feel free to meet us behind Thoreaux Middle School in Vienna. The parking lot goes around back and that is where we will be parking.

Newbies - bring athletic tape if you have any (I have a case so do not sweat it too much), gardening gloves, knee-elbow-wrist-ankle wraps as needed. Once we start training what exactly you will need will become self-evident

Time to blow the rust off

How about this Saturday the 8th? You're pretty far away from me, but a training day would be great.

Well looking at the weather it looks like Saturday is going to be the best day this weekend - March 8th - I would like to start at 10 am

If there are some that can only do Sunday my arm can be twisted to do a bit of practicing Sunday too.

Let me know

Looks like this Saturday is the best day and with the wind storm and then several sunny days this week we will be able to get out into field and get started actually throwing

So same bat time (10 am) same bat place (8500 Stonewall Dr, Vienna VA, 22180) text me at 571 419 4653 and give me your name and that you are interested.

if you cannot do Saturday let me know

Yes, It was a great and fun practice. Great for me to meet more throwers and get some additional awesome advice! Thanks!
Hopefully the weather will continue to be nice for the weekends even if it gets jacked up during the week (although I must admit, I'm enjoying my snow day today).
