Training on Weeknights/Sundays Northern Virginia

Postby cwedsall on Sun Aug 09, 2015 10:41 pm

Hello Everyone,

My name is Connor Edsall. My am a resident of Manassas, Va. I have no experience in heavy games competition, but I am hoping to begin competing. I have trained in olympic lifting for two years, crossfit for three years, and power lifiting for four years. My schedule unfortunately does not allow for Saturday training sessions. If anyone lives in the Northern Virginia area and would be willing for me to drop in on a weekday evening or Sunday morning training session I would greatly appreciate the opportunity.

Sincerely,
Connor Edsall

Bryan McClain aka Sheaf Daddy and Frank Henry practice in Vienna, VA not that far from you. They have some weekday but mainly Saturday and/or Sunday practices. All are welcome. Look for listings of practices here. I'm sure one or both of them will chime in.

I am brand new to the games (meaning I have only watched) but would love to know more about where and when I can start becoming involved in training. What do I need and where can I go? Thanks in advance for any information you can give.

See above. We train in Vienna, not far from you. We train Wednesday evenings from around 6 until dusk, and on Sunday from 10am-3pm. (Or so.)
