bone headed move

So I'm doing medicine ball slams this morning with our cute little 10lb medicine ball that looks like a little basketball filled with sand. After 3 sets of 15, I just didn't feel the ab burn I wanted, so I grabbed the 25lb ball that is sheathed in leather. I hefted it above my head and slammed it down, bending in half at the waist. As soon as that damn thing hit the ground, it bounced back up and socked me in the jaw. I felt an immediate hot pain in my left jaw hinge. Bryan tells me its the ganglion, and now I know how it feels to be punched in the jaw.

It doesn't seem as if I've dislocated or broken anything. I'll just have TMJ issues for a while, I guess.

haha, that's what you get for letting meatheads meathead up your house! It's infectious!

And if you're looking for a killer ab exercise, have Bryan show you hammer winds...

I think anyone who is into medball work has done that before, and it's funny every time :D

This should make you feel better ;)

If your anything like me, you don't want to watch it. It's too painfull.
I used to race Mountain Bikes, and have had so many spectacular crashes myself, that I can't stand to watch video's of other people crashing. Bad flash backs.

hammer winds! Yes, but I like my waist the circumference it is, thank you. Perhaps even smaller, thus the medball slams.

Ok, I've seen many a muscle head at the gym do some amazingly dumb things with medicine balls :o . While this incident is unfortunate, it is as common as dropping it on your head. Thankfully you didn't drop it on your head. New medicine balls are expensive  . Gotta love a girl who will rat herself out before the meatheads do it for her. Way to go Ant!

Oh Trish, I would have expected that of one of the guys, not you. Are you ok?

Bryan - good job on keeping quiet. I have got to say one of the most hysterical moves I have ever made in front of Lowell he had the good sense to make sure I was ok before he started laughing at me.
