If you're not in Scotland.....

Postby angry ant on Tue Jul 14, 2009 6:40 pm

Those of you planning to come over this Saturday to throw, we have an extra-curricular activity if you're willing. Bryan and I (with the help of Jeff) are digging a french drain in the back yard. We will have a lot of fill dirt to get rid of. Bryan says it can be put to good use at the field and plans to load it in the pick up truck and drive it over there.

We would very much appreciate help in wheelbarrowing it from the back yard and shoveling all this dirt into the truck. We'll also need more shovels and wheelbarrows to speed the effort.

Thanks to anyone who can/will lend a hand.

Bless you, Jerry. Who else? anybody? Bueler? The dirt will be an improvement to field conditions.

Absolutely throw! If you've go a wheelbarrow and shovel to help move the stuff, that would speed up the process, too. Jerry is going to try to borrow a friend's flatbed trailer with ramps so we can just roll the wheelbarrows up on a trailer.

I appreciate and and all help you guys can provide.

Mike Dickens and Gerry Witzman - Thank you thank you thank you!

You guys were great and I am glad we had a chance to throw too! I will get some more dirt to finish the box area and once we get back into the rainy season I can lay down the sod.

VMC'ers about 2/3s of the box is filled in all the way thanks to Gerry and Mike helping me move dirt out there and especially thanks to Gerry for getting the trailer. That certainly made our work easier. I had to fill in the ditch on Sunday and even though we are not talking about dirt comparetively my gut and lower back were hurtin!
Trish: Colin go get your bike and put it away!

Colin: Okay but someone is going to swoop down, stop, take a picture and sell it on the internet.

we are gonna have a pretty sweet triq set up . . . . . someday.

Actually, should be good to go for next year. Just need a little more dirt and then some sod. Get that in this fall and it should be good come spring, right?
