That depends on where in the country you are. In some areas, you win a B competition, you can throw with the As. In other areas, there are standards; hit the right marks, and you move up. Around here there's no formal standards - depending on your marks and placing, you'll fit with one or the other class. The classes may be split differently on any given day depending on how many people show up and how many flights are running. But generally, if you hit 30' and 60' with the weights, 80' with the heavy hammer, you're a solid A anywhere. Below 25', 50' and 70', you're a definite B. In between, it depends on your all-around game, experience, and who's making the call.
